A VISIT TO DARVILLE

A group of friends, including some MCClubbers, visited the Darville Sewerage Works this past Saturday. Our intrepid chairman warned us of a dry day with no birds. Alas, he was wrong! Lots of greenery, flowing water and birds galore. Heron, egrets, ducks, geese, lots of other little bird critters… and a yellow billed kite even came to say hello.

You will need at least a 300m, longer if you can. Don’t forget your macro lens though – some lovely insect activity around the little dams. Well worth a visit.

Go in a group – much safer.
